It seems that Senator McCain found Governor Palin to be a more fitting running mate. For what reasons though? McCain's wife, Cindy, steps up and explains the decisions that her husband made when choosing his running mate. Another candidate, Senator Joe Lieberman, was an option but due to the fact that he had such different views on the topic of abortion, McCain found that their views didn't match up well enough for them to run together. Cindy McCain urges, however, that Senator McCain really wanted Senator Lieberman to be his running mate but was afraid that social conservatives would find his stance on abortion to be "unacceptable".
